Volunteers contribute much more than time – they also offer legitimacy, credibility and profile; in return, they gain valuable skills and experience, a sense of ownership in their community and increased sense of pride and self-esteem. Volunteers are what helps to make Lakeshore Arts grow; without your support to assist with administrative duties, hanging exhibitions, coordinating events and being the smiling face of our organization we would not be who we are. |

A great big thank you to all of our volunteers. Without you Lakeshore Arts could not deliver as many exciting and educational programs to the community that it does. We value and appreciate all the time that you give to us and to your community. Kudos and Bouquets! This year we honoured the following volunteers on November 27th at the Assembly Hall. Over 55 people attended the event where they were entertained by Humber College’s Comedy Sketch troupes mentored by Robin Duke of Second City fame and by aboriginal drummer and storyteller, Scott Debassige. |

Champion of the Arts Award Irene has been a strong supporter and friend of Lakeshore Arts for well over 12 years. While she held the role of Councillor of Ward 6, she supported many Lakeshore Arts initiatives including the restoration and reopening of the Assembly Hall as a cultural centre and provided great assistance in advocating for sustainable funding for community arts organizations at City Hall. She truly is one of our champions. |
